We are hosting the 5K in order to spread awareness of MSA, a rare neurodegenerative disease that approximately 10,000 Americans are diagnosed with each year. As it is such a rare disease, it is often misdiagnosed, and we hope to spread runs such as these can raise awareness and prevent future misdiagnoses.
